Educational Background & Training. Paul Henning, MD

Dr. Henning’s academic journey began at the University of South Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees before attending medical school. Later, he completed his emergency medicine residency at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York. It was pursued by additional residency training in anesthesiology and critical care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

Dr. Henning has a diverse and extensive background in emergency medicine, patient care, leadership and education. Before joining USA Health, he served as an emergency medicine physician at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, and as an associate professor of emergency medicine at Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida.

His dedication to emergency response extends beyond the hospital. Prior to medical school, he served the Mobile community as a firefighter and paramedic, gaining firsthand experience in pre-hospital care and disaster response.
